The Canaries Two-Island Tour of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura is unofficially called ‘the stress-buster’ by Polaris, with all-year guaranteed great weather riding.

The tour is only a long-weekend from your career and its low cost makes for an amazing mini-break tour to enjoy an outstanding experience and to blow away the cobwebs, especially during the cold winter months.

Equatorial all-year amazing warm and dry weather, palm trees and beaches, and the most amazing roads through the most amazing volcanic landscapes across two amazing islands, makes this a relaxing Vitamin-D intake that can be enjoyed all-year-round.

4 nights and 3 full riding days will take you across the entirety of the amazing Canary Islands of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, while experiencing an amazing safe Spanish island, with the most friendly people, and alongside some of the most breathtaking landscape and volcanic mountains and passes available.

Rising to and taking breakfast in the sun; motorcycling on traffic-free twisty roads and through some of the most unique scenery on earth; visiting the Timinfaya Volcanic National Park; taking the beautiful ferry from Lanzarote to Fuerteventura (45 minutes); and eating and drinking in the evening sun in amazing restaurants, we cannot recommend this tour any more.

Direct flights into Lanzarote from the U.K. and anywhere in Europe are extremely cheap with Ryanair or Jet2.

This two-island tour is more like a holiday than anything, and you’ll arrive back into work on the following Wednesday with a bronzed face and a big smile and some big memories.

Tour Itinerary (Click Each Day For Full Details)

Day 1

Day 1 (arrival day only) is an arrival day and all tour participants are invited to arrive into Lanzarote and to make their way to the hotel.

Arrival and check-in is no earlier than 3pm local, although the hotel can cater for the storage of luggage and an early check-in if the room is available.

A complimentary meet/greet and welcome dinner and drinks is organised for the early evening in order for all tour participants and the Polaris guide to meet, and to run through coordination for the first morning.

Day 2

Day 2 (day 1 of riding) encompasses a guided tour of the northern and central areas of Lanzarote.

Firstly, all tour participants must be introduced to their respective motorcycle and to present their driving license and a credit card for the insurance refundable deposit (pending no damage).

Once we leave the main roads of Puerto del Carmen and Arrecife, these roads are some of the best in the world and they are pristinely kept as they rise into the amazing twists of the volcanic mountain range of the north and central parts of the island.

The initial rise into the northern volcanic mountains takes us to the amazing vantage points of Mirador del Rio overlooking La Graciosa, before dropping down into the beautiful atypical white-washed historic town of Teguise, where we visit the 14th century Santa Barbara Castle that sits overlooking the former capital of the island.

A light lunch and a refreshing drink is taken in Teguise before we move across to the surfers paradise of Famara, and then across to the La Geria Vineyards and up into the Timinfaya National Park.

Around 120 miles later and around late-afternoon, we get back into the hotel to relax and to refresh.

The evening is free, although the Polaris tour guide will suggest a meeting place and time for those that may wish to meet and socialise for dinner and/or drinks.

Day 3

Day 3 (day 2 of riding) is an early start to ride down into the beautiful resort town of Playa Blanca and to meet the ferry to depart to the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura.

A 45-minute fast ferry and taking in some of the most amazing sea-views of both island lands us into the capital of Fuerteventura - Corralejo.

Fuerteventura is more mountainous and less populated that Lanzarote, and the mixture of the high and twisting mountain passes makes for an amazing but physical day of riding.

We complete the full length of the islands west wide - north to south, before stopping for a light lunch in the very traditional Spanish town of Tiscamanita.

A return journey south to north along the east coast takes us into the Corralejo Natural Park & Grand Dunes, before we drop back onto the Corralejo to Playa Blanca Ferry back to Lanzarote.

After around 130 miles of day 2, we arrive back to the hotel to relax and to refresh.

The evening is free, although the Polaris tour guide will suggest a meeting place and time for those that may wish to meet and socialise for dinner and/or drinks.

Day 4

Day 4 (day 3 of riding) is a tour of the southern and remaining central areas of Lanzarote, taking in Femes pass, before dropping down into the historical fishing and beach town of Playa Quemada.

Heading south toward Playa Blanca, we visit the famous Papagayo Beach which has been used as a back-drop in countless films, before we push into Playa Blanca and then to the seaside town of El Golfo for a light lunch and refreshing drink.

Post lunch, the tour heads back into the mountainous area of the Timinfaya National Park before dropping down into Yaiza and finishing in a beautiful loop of Mancha Blanca and back into Puerto del Carmen to return the motorcycles.

A complimentary departure dinner and drinks is organised for the early evening in order for all tour participants and the Polaris guide to share stories of the previous days and to bid each other farewell.

Day 5

Day 5 (departure day only) requires all tour participants to check-out by 10am and to make their onward plans as required.
